On the 24th of August 2025, our Marriage Encounter (ME) community in Penang was blessed to experience a truly uplifting formation titled “Discover the Joy of Being Hearts on Fire!” Led by our beloved NET couple, Ivan and Jenny, the session took place at MASC Penang and was attended by 11 enthusiastic couples, each eager to rekindle the spark in their marriage and deepen their connection with one another.
The afternoon began at 2:00 p.m., with couples warmly welcomed into a space filled with laughter, prayer, and a sense of anticipation. Ivan and Jenny opened the session with heartfelt sharing about the importance of nurturing one’s relationship in the midst of daily life’s busyness.
Through engaging discussions, reflection activities, and faith- filled moments, couples were invited to rediscover the beauty of teamwork in marriage — to grow together, give selflessly, and love deeply.
Throughout the formation, participants explored what it means to have “hearts on fire” to live out their marriage with renewed passion, joy, and purpose, not only within their family but also in service to the wider community. Ivan and Jenny guided everyone through meaningful exercises that helped couples communicate more openly, express gratitude, and strengthen their emotional and spiritual bond.
As the session drew to a close at 6:00 p.m., the atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude.
The formation concluded with a joyful Pot Bless dinner, where everyone shared delicious home-cooked dishes and warm fellowship. The laughter, storytelling, and sense of belonging were a true testament to the spirit of Marriage Encounter — a community rooted in love, unity, and shared faith.
It was indeed a wonderful and meaningful afternoon, one that left every couple feeling renewed, inspired, and ready to continue their journey as witnesses of love in their families and communities.
